The Alchemist : It's called the principle of favorability.

I was doing the reading to kill the time! hahaha.. surprised?? well, you are allowed to be surprised since I myself pun very surprised that I can actually do so!! hahaha

I was reading The Alchemist (tapi masih tak sampai part 2 pun lagi!!! grrr.. but hey! Kak Sherina also noticed that I am soo much into this book because everybody knows that I am not a reading type of person. hohoho) when I suddenly came across this one line which catches my attention most.

The line goes like this;
"I'm like everyone else - I see the world in terms of what I would like to see happen, not what actually does"
The two person who came across my mind adalah Marini and Angker!!

(1) Angker; not once.. but like gazillions time he said that people always asked for what they think is best for them. Little that they know that it is not everybody will get everything that they asked for in form of what they wanted them to be. (wah aku kena baca line ini 37x sebab hendak pastikan maksudnya sampai. but, in order to enhance my cabuk English, aku bantai saja!! haha). Supposed, one should asked from Alloh to give them whichever best for them.. not whichever they THINK is best for them. We are asking for a reality; not fantasy.

(2) Marini; it was few days before she went back home. We went for a very nice evening walk.. when she said those words to me. I was being very defensive that time.. and then, being soo tenang, she replied; "It's true that you accept what other people say about you, even if its hurt. That's a very good attitude. But do you notice that you are just listening? You didn't do any change based on that! Don't you get it?! I think, you need to look at the other side as well. Try to think if you were they. Why are they saying and acting that way to you. You might think that you were right and they were wrong. But you should know that they also might think the same thing. That you are the wrong one while they are not. I think Ibu was right. You always think that you are the brilliant and the genius and the clever one while others are not. I think you have to change. It's never too late. You are lovable. Everybody accept you as what you are. So, try to accept others as well. Stop being snobbish and childish. Get over it!"

She was right. It was her very first time saying those words to me. I am not hurt that she was saying those. But I actually felt hurt that it takes me years to realize this. But hey, shouldn't I be thankful that this happened when everything is still under control?? I am still young, still have lots of great friends with amazing and supportive family some more!

|LESSON LEARNT|

oh dear, I miss that gundot already! haha

***
This is soooooo random;

People say I am being choosy. But yeah, at this challenging age, you need to start choosing your friend. Fun and drama is primary school, adulthood is the time to surround yourself with people who motivate and inspire you to be better and succeed.
