Children = Future!

We often sing lullabies to our children that we ourselves may sleep.

Alamak! Kechomelan jelas terpampang!!! Omomomo..

Last night (or shall I say this early morning) i was discussing with Mudong about the current issue regarding the kiddos marriage at young age with the adults (izit classified as discussion? haha). It is something to do with an article in The Star. But we're still not done. Yaya came in with some good points which I can't agree more. I think the writer got her points but hey, as a normal parents which at most of the time, your children are superseding your own interest, will you tergamak hendak kawenkan your baby gurl with some pedophilia?? IDTS.

As what I told Yaya, this sort of things adalah kes terpenchil actually. It might turn out less thn 10 cases over 1000 population pun. 2 years back, I was doing this one research about HPV vaccine which now be given freely to the teenagers at school. Do you know why the government are doing this?
BECAUSE TODAY, THE SEXUAL HABIT - or should I say their curiosity - AMONG THE TEENAGERS ARE FREAKING SCARY!!!
I have a bad feeling during those years while doing the research already. Most of the feedbacks from the parents (I can say 95% of the parents) refused to vaccinate their children because they said that our culture are not meant for that vaccine. They said that our society is not that bad which to an extent where we need to vaccinate our kids because of their seks bebas punya habit.

Even the medical practitioner said so. As a researcher and of course based on my motherly instinct (blow nails. haha), this is scary.
AND THAT IS WHY WE CONDUCT THE RESEARCH AT THE FIRST PLACE!!
Because based on the social trend, we can actually foresee these issues. I still remember during those days, Rini was the one who helping me stamping stamps to each and every letters that later circulated to the GP's all over Malaysia (i think like thousands of them) just to see their impression on this vaccine and their difficulties to confront the parents issues. I've told Rini that maybe in 5 years time.. this will be in the major tabloid. Sigh, it doesn't take us up to 5 years pun. =(

I think I was discussing with Zuren about this as well. About my worried. About the children. About the future generation. My oh my... They are very prone to sooooo many harm and yet we are not that ready to protect them. =(

Years back during my time, even to go through the reproductive system chapter in the science textbook pun sudah malu lain macam because that's the only mean for us to discover about it AND it is GUIDED by our teacher. But nowadays, everything just at your fingertips. It's like nothing to them anymore. They might even expert than the teacher sometimes (this is very true. i kid you not. my teacher friend said so. even the kampong pupils pun sama. ohfooh).
Pendidikan seks itu bukan kelucahan. Seks tidak pernah lucah. Akal yang tidak digunakan sahaja yang menjadikan seks itu lucah. ~KaAishah
Some of my friend laughing at me when I told them that if say I got a chance to continue my phD based on what I chose, I seriously wanted to be in the arts + safety for kiddos line. Being in the SHE field and in this social preventive medicine dept has taught me that your life and your family is very precious that you would trade the whole world only to make sure that they are safe and sound. I might sounds funny but little that they know it means a lot to me. =)

You see, how our little precious babies are in their fragility life nowadays.. and the hardest part is that they don't even realized it yet and sometimes when they did; it is already too late for them to do something with it. *sigh*

How i wish yours and my future kiddos will be safe from harm and placed in a very good circle of people enshaAlloh. But at times, you don't really have the choice so i guess.. roots and wings.. they are the best gifts to be given to them!

Our Lord! Grant us in our mates and offspring the joy of our eyes and make us patterns for those who guard against evil
